Wow! Purim is here- and im still waiting on a good concert.

Its almost Israels 60Th birthday, and I still haven't found a good concert to go to. There is one with Matisyahu and a lot of other weird Israeli bands that Ive never heard of, It sounds good but I'm not going. And there is usually a concert by the parade. As for Purim, I decided on a cool costume!! Archie. People already say i look like him, and all I have to do to play the part is wear a riverdale jacket. One other cool thing that's going on in Manhattan. Is this Israeli-French top 10 singer, is having a concert in Manhattan. I actually found out about her from the Mac Air commercial. My sis was thinking of going to the concert. But I guess when you make it to the top of Itunesseller charts, you probably gonna be sold out by the first day. For Purim I'm probably gonna go to this party in a old bank building turned on-season ball room. I guess Friday mornings is not what you call on season, so the people making the party aren't spending a fortune.

On a more serious note- The injured people from the tragedy at Yeshivas Merkaz Harav, need our tfilos/t. Israel is going through rough times now, whether it is a missile striking sderot or the killing of an Israeli chayal or chayelet. Purim is the holiday that prayers are answered by Hashem. Get it,Yom Kip(purim), so basicly if on yom kippur the Gates of Heaven are open. So to on the actual day of Purim are Tfilos/t are answered. And If you don't like that whole play on word thing. Purim is commemorating the day that the decree to wipe out B'nai Yisrael was abolished bcause of Prayers and fasting of B'nai Yisrael. And seriously Ive heard this speech from atleast 3 reliable people.

Have a Great Nite- Berko's Blog

Summer is Long gone.... yet a blizzard has barely come

Ive been in school a while already, and a serious snow blizzard has not come. Flurries and wet snow has been plentiful, but every kid is waiting for a Mid-Week blizzard. I truly believe that Global Warming has something to do with this. I mean this winter in general has not been to cold. Yet it has been snowing like crazy in countries such as Israel, afghanastan, and other middle eastern/arabian countries. That would bereally cool and scary at the same time, If I was in the Sahara and it was snowing. Being in NYC during the winter is not as cool as it seems. Especially since the places to go are few. Anyway Im still in a camp dilemna, I dont know what to do for next year. I do not think I want to be a counseler, or go back to my old boring camp, Israel and other touring programs is also not really an option for me this year. Besides the fact I have not found a program for me. Getting back to snow, I am hoping for a good snow day. The difference between Getting off from scool expectedly vs. Snow Day's, is that snow days are ten times better. Especially with sledding, ice slipping, and snowball fights. For anyone reading, enjoy your future snowdays.

Summer Rocks!!! Not!!

Summer is here and you would think I would be all excited. Yet I am not since for the past few Days its been boiling and its impossible to step outside without feeling like your going to pass out. Forget biking, I barely can walk down the block. I''m starting to wish that I would have signed up for two halves of camp, Even though camp could be really boring also if you are stuck doing nothing all day, and last year thats basicly all that I did. Bad enough that were going through a random heat wave, yesterday the lights went blank above 14th street, Its bad enough we can not stay outside, staying inside with a air conditioner was are last resort and that was taken away from all Manhattanites at least most of them. Even though its kind of boring, I will survive hopefully. To everyone out there reading this blog(if anyone) relax and have a great summer and I will keep you posted. - Berko's Blog
